March 15th, 2008 Protests:

Every year March 15th, is the international day of protest against the Canadian seal hunt. All over the world groups such as the Animal Liberation Front, Peta and the Sea Shepherd Conservation Society are organizing protests. Last year we had the pleasure of meeting some of the Animal Liberation Front protestors in the beautiful city of Sydney, Australia. This year the protests just got bigger.

Meanwhile protestors in Halifax, Canada braved the extreme cold:

Talking about braving the cold, protestors in Montreal Canada took it even one step further:

Animal rights protestors stripped off in the center of Montreal Saturday to protest against the resumption of seal-hunting in Canada, as the government accused opponents of the hunt of "misinformation."

Braving freezing temperatures and snow, four nude members of the Concordia Animal Rights Association (CARA) and People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) held up a banner reading: "The naked truth: Canada slaughters seals."

A personal thank you to everyone who went out to protest this seal hunt. If only more people had such huge hearts, the world would be a better place.
